1. Manuscripts submitted to the conference should be written in English only.
2. Manuscripts submitted to the conference should follow the template provided.
3. Manuscripts can be submitted in Doc, Docx and PDF format.
4. Oral or Poster presentations should be nominated while submitting an abstract.
5. The ordinary length is suggested no less than 5 pages, including all figures, tables, references, and appendices. If the paper exceeds 6 pages, the additional
pages will be charged at the time of registration.
Welcome to the 2027 International Conference on Smart Materials and Structural Systems (CSMSS 2027), to be held in Stuttgart, Germany, from September 11 to 13, 2027! We are delighted to bring together world‑leading scholars, academic researchers and industrial practitioners to focus on core technical challenges surrounding smart material synthesis, characterization, multi‑functional design and the engineering implementation of intelligent structural systems.
Against the backdrop of evolving material science and structural engineering innovation, there is growing demand for multifunctional smart materials and self‑adaptive structural solutions that can deliver advanced performance for engineering applications. CSMSS 2027 serves as a dedicated international forum centering on smart materials and intelligent structural systems. It aims to disseminate cutting‑edge theoretical research, laboratory discoveries and real‑world engineering demonstrations, with a special focus on the synergy between novel smart materials and structural system design. The conference explores how material‑level innovations can drive the performance upgrade of structural components and whole‑system designs, supporting the development of intelligent, self‑sensing and self‑regulating engineering structures.
Throughout the three‑day programme, attendees can participate in themed technical sessions, panel discussions and hands‑on workshops. The event creates valuable opportunities for participants to exchange latest research outputs, discuss material‑structure integration methodologies, and establish cross‑border academic and industrial partnerships. Your expertise, research findings and practical experience will play a key role in advancing the frontier of smart material development and next‑generation intelligent structural system design.

CSMSS 2027 invites experts, researchers, and practitioners to submit proposals for Sessions, Special Sessions, Tracks, Symposiums, Forums, Workshops, Tutorials, and Exhibitions that are aligned with the themes of the conference. All potential proposers are invited to complete the proposal form and submit it through the online submission portal.
